Lori ‘Morgen’ Espe 48, of Columbus, OH lost her long, courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Feb. 9, 2012. She was a graduate of Kittatinny High School, Newton, NJ Class of 1981.

The legacy of Morgen’s kind & gentle spirit and passion will live on through her communications and teachings with the animals. An animal communicator and author of “Whisper’s of Heaven” Morgen shared her gift of communication with the animal kingdom and had been recognized and featured on NBC, CBS news and local printed media. She taught classes and seminars across the country on the fundamentals of conveying messages to the animal world.

We would like to thank all of the family, friends, doctors, nurses and caregivers for all of your kindness and support you have given to Morgen throughout her valiant struggle. She enjoyed every card, kind thought and gesture you have sent to her.

Morgen always had a smile on her face and a kind word. No matter what she was going through she always put others first and wanted to know “what can I do for you?” May we all learn through Morgen's journey, to never give up hope, and to live each day to its fullest.

She is now united in heaven with her father Donald Morgenweck, grandmother Rose ‘Gammy’ Hall and mother-in-law Betty Espe. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband and best friend Rick Espe, mother Sharron Morgenweck, grandfather William ‘Gampy’ Hall, brother Greg (Susanna) Morgenweck, father-in-law Ron Espe, brothers/sister-in-laws Dave (Laurie) Espe, Steve (Karen) Espe, Scott (Chrissy) Espe, Susie (Ron) Hampel and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Her loving nieces and nephews Stan, Julia, Katie, Alex, Michael, Lauren, Kristen, Luke, Erik, Aimee, Madeleine, Ryan and Bridget, will all miss their "fun loving” Aunt tremendously.

A celebration of Morgen’s beautiful life will be held on Saturday February 25, 2012 at 6:00 PM at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, OH 43085 (614-885-4006) where the her family will receive visitors from 5 PM until time of service. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be given to a charity, local hospice, or animal shelter/rescue of your choice - or give an animal a caring and loving home in honor of Morgen.

“Remember to cherish each & every second, be kind & adore your Animals as they are Heaven on Earth & see the sacredness in each other – then you’ll have some miracles going on!!” ~ Morgen
